A community in which to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ

Our unique congregation was founded by Germans from Russia in 1907. Since then the congregation has had a rich history of community engagement and German language worship (until the 1960s). Today we have people from all over Lincoln and many different backgrounds worshiping with us.

Friedens is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We strive to welcome all, be active in our community, and grow in faith and service to Jesus Christ.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Friedens will host Vacation Bible School with the theme "Rainforest Falls" July 29 to Aug. 1, 2026. Free and open to pre-K to 5th graders.

SERVICES

Join us for worship every Sunday at 10:30 am. We also offer a livestream option on Facebook.

During Lent we have mid-week services on Wednesdays at 7 pm.
